Ronald J Cote (76) of 8437 S Hwy 905, is with the lord, his peaceful passing, April 15, 2025 after a long illness.

He was born in Ilion, NY, August 28, 1948, the son of Armand and Laura Cote.

Mr. Cote married Priscilla Smith of Kissimmee, FL, April 14, 1980. He was a communicant of St. Paul's Church, Conway, SC. His chauffer's license gave him the opportunity to travel. He retired from Par Technology in NY. Locally, he delivered the newspaper.

Besides his wife of 45 years, he leaves two sisters: Sandra Keim of FL and Karen Papke of Conn.; a step-daughter, Christine Valverde; one grand-daughter, Brittany Valverde; and a son-in-law Philip Valverde - all of Myrtle Beach, SC. He is also survived by a blessed friend, Dwight Beam, and many friends and associates at the Horry Independent.

Ron served in the US Army and was a member of American Legion Post 111 in Conway, SC.

Burial service will be held in the chapel at St. Paul's Church, Friday May 2, 2025 at 3 pm with Pastor Jason Collins officiating. Burial will be in the Church Memorial Garden.
