Rubin Sheldon Mazyck, 39, transitioned this life at Grand Strand Medical Center on Friday November 1, 2024. Rubin was born in Georgetown, South Carolina on March 12, 1985 to Rosemary Mazyck and the late Jimmy Rutledge. His grandfather James Mazyck and aunt Dearle Mazyck both preceded him in death.

Rubin graduated from Socastee High School and later attended Horry-Georgetown Technical College. Afterwards, he enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served his country. During his time in service he remained passionate about the arts, writing, and film making. As a result, upon completion of honorable service to the military, he pursued acting and film production at the Los Angeles Film School in Burbank, California. He later worked faithfully in the food service industry until he departed this life.

Rubin is survived by his mother Rosemary Mazyck; brother Ryan Mazyck (Dana); nephew Omari Mazyck; niece Layla Mazyck; 4 uncles, Lawrence Mazyck (Debra), Rone Rutledge (Deloris), Theron Rutledge (Janice), Johnny Rutledge; 6 aunts, Susan Mazyck, Gloria King (James), Lila Deas, Wanda Jackson, Emma Small, Izzy knox; 3 special friends, Devon Wilson (cousin), Erin Sullivan, Kelly Sullivan; and a host of relatives and love ones.

A private memorial service for close family and friends will be held at Grand Strand Funeral Home, 9020 Frontage Rd, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 on November 11, 2024 @ 1pm.
