Shay McElveen, 27, passed away peacefully at his home on September 14th, 2021 in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Shay had a love for grilling, fishing, The Outdoors, Music, was an avid gamer, and loved his Carolina Gamecocks. Shay was known as the goofball of the family & cracked a corny joke to make everyone laugh every chance he got. He was a former chef in the Myrtle Beach Restaurant industry and took pride in "cooking a steak just right".

Shay was born on February 25th, 1994 in Lexington, SC son of Brenda and Steve McElveen. He is survived by his mother Brenda McElveen, Daughter Ryley McElveen, Brothers Wesley Tobias and Hayden Whatley, Sisters Jessica Carter and Stephanie Singleton, and his best friend & domestic partner, Janlyn Gauldin. He is preceded in death by his Father, Steve.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations in his honor for his daughter, Ryley.

Shay will be cremated at Grand Strand funeral Home & Crematory & The family will be holding a private memorial service at a later date.
