Stephen J. Bagby, 63, of Myrtle Beach, SC went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 12 ^th after a lengthy fight with cancer. Steve was born to Emma J. and Lewis B. Bagby in Waynesboro VA and had one sister, Sharon B. Hiserman (Ronnie).

From a young age, Steve had a love for aviation and during his early years earned his private pilot license and also went to school in Ft. Worth, TX to obtain his A&P Mechanic license. He served for several years with the Winston Salem NC wing of the Civil Air Patrol.

He met his wife, Joyce Bagby, in Waynesboro, and they spent 40 beautiful years together travelling extensively over the United States, the Virgin Islands and Barbados.

Steve is survived by his wife, Joyce, a stepson, Michael Easton (Denise) and grandchildren Allyson Paige, Benjamin Michael (Ericka), and Christina Michelle, stepgrandson Brandon Cheeks (Ashley), and great-grandchildren Kinsley, Sam and Mallon. Also surviving is his best friend, his pup Cassidy.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Kernersville, NC. The family asks that instead of flowers, donations be made in his name to Triad Baptist Church in Kernersville
