Steve John Santa, Jr., 73, passed away in Conway, South Carolina on November 9, 2020, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Steve was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio in July, 1947 to Hazel and Steve Santa, Sr. He graduated from Yorkville H.S. and was drafted by the New York Mets in 1966.

Steve raised his family in Newark, Ohio, where he retired from the Newark Air Force Base after 27 years and Boeing after 17 years.  He also retired from the United States Army, having served 21 years in the Army Reserves.  He enjoyed baseball, fishing, and vegetable gardening. He attended North Conway Baptist Church while living in Conway.

He leaves his wife of 50 years, Karen (Poludniak) Santa; three sons, Greg (Nel) and daughter Elizabeth; Jeff (Abbi) and sons Max and Eli, and Scott (Jocelyn) and daughter Maddie; and sister Norma (Jim) Eggenschwiler. He was preceded in death by both his parents.

A memorial service will be held for the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to North Conway Baptist Church Building Fund or the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org .
