Thomas Collins Newton, 75, of Conway, South Carolina passed away on June 8, 2026. Tom was born in Chicago, IL to the late Donald and Patricia Newton. He spent his childhood in the Chicagoland area as well as in Orange County, California. He attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree. 

For nearly 20 years, he worked mostly in banking and then switched gears for another 25 years, becoming an accomplished Real Estate Appraiser in Valparaiso, Indiana. In true self-confident fashion, he even liked to refer to himself as the “Appraisal God”. He retired in 2016 and moved to South Carolina to escape the winters and play golf year-round. He married his second wife, Pamela, in 2018, and together, they enjoyed spending time with their friends, taking many trips over the years.

He is survived by his son, Thomas (Kellie) Newton, daughter, Lisa (Matt) Fiocca and four grandchildren: Fletcher Newton and Amelia, Grayson, and Scarlett Fiocca. He also has three surviving siblings: Peter (Chris) Newton, Brian (Jan) Newton, Mary (Jack) Licar, as well as numerous nieces and nephews dispersed throughout the country. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and brother and sister-in-law, Don and Sue Newton.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Myrtle Beach on August 9th and there will also be a Celebration of Life in Valparaiso at a time and place to be determined.
