William "Billy" Lewis Baker, 68, of Myrtle Beach, SC died on August 4th, 2017.

Billy was born on August 23rd, 1948 in Charlotte, North Carolina, a son to the late Lewis Edgar Baker and Novella Thrower Baker.

Billy was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Kenneth Baker and Rick Baker, as well as his sister Elaine Baker Austin.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Roxanne Baker (White). He is also survived by his children; Sandra Baker Peeler, William Ray Baker, LeAnn (Soozie) Baker Blankenship and Richard Guthrie Roberts (Whitney); grandchildren Nicolas Ryan Peeler (Brianna), William Owen Baker, Mitchell Alan Cornwell and Madelyn Arielle Zabinski; great-grandchildren Brayden Peeler and Brenton Peeler; his siblings Larry Baker, Edgar Baker andLinda Wyndam. He will miss all of his family and friends.

Billy was a resident of Myrtle Beach since 1972 where he owned and operated Bill Baker Electric Company. He was well known in his community for his sense of humor, immense generosity and dependability. He was an active member in the Myrtle Beach Elks Lodge as well as the Golfsters.

Billy is forever loved and his memory will always be cherished. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends.

A memorial service will be held in Billy's honor on Thursday, August 10th, 2017 at Grand Strand Funeral Home at 9506 Highway 707 inMyrtle Beach, SC 29588. The family will receive guests and a brief service will be held beginning at 3:00 PM and concluding at 5:00 PM.

A celebration of life will also be held in Bill's honor on the evening of Thursday, August 10th, 2017 at the Myrtle Beach Elks Lodge at 606 27th Ave N., Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday evening.
