The family of William Banks Richards Jr. of Murrells Inlet is saddened to announce his passing on Friday, January the 6th, 2023 at the age of 77 years old.

William Banks Richards Jr. was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 41 years of service. He was also a member of the U.S. Army Reserve in Roanoke, Va..

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lucy A. Richards of 33 years, his two sons Kevin W. Richards and Chad A. Richards, his two step-children Tina M. Gaines and Robert H. Smith, his five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving brother Wesley (Ronnie) Richards.

At William B. Richards Jr. request no service will be held. The family will be holding a private memorial at a later date.

The family wishes to send a special thank-you to the staff of at Brightwater Rehab Facility in Myrtle Beach and the Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet.
